Jesyka Lueck, LMFT

Hi my name is Jesyka Lueck, and I am so thankful you are here today. I appreciate you taking the time to learn a bit more about me and if you have any unanswered questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, and received with honors by PsiChi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. I am also a current member of CAMFT, California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

I have had the privilege of working for and with a multiple of different types of communities. Formally working in corporate marketing, I am well-versed in understanding the high demands and unique challenges of the corporate environment. Often utilizing CBT and solution focused therapy, together we create plans and concrete goals to find work-life balance that is realistic, meaningful and achievable.

I have also led several parent support groups and individually counseled students at Mychals Learning Place (www.mychals.org), a center to help encourage independence in the special needs population including those struggling with the impact of autism and down syndrome. I am a former board member and continue to sit on the advisory board.

I have worked at Journey Counseling Ministry (www.journeyscounseling.com), counseling individuals, couples and families referred by our beach cities community of local churches. I also have experience with working with at-risk, gang affected teenagers at Cloud and Fire Youthbuild (www.cloudandfire.org) where I volunteered my time counseling students aspiring to complete their GED.

In addition, I have led multiple caregiver support groups and client support groups for those struggling with the hardships of Alzheimers and other forms of demenita at OPICA (www.opica.org).

Lastly, within my private practice, some areas I have worked with individuals on are diversity related challenges, shame and early childhood traumas, breakups, job stress, anxiety and depression. And with the couples I have worked with we have overcome such issues as pre-marital concerns, infidelity, transitions with becoming parents, and infertility to name just a few.

I look forward to connecting with you soon.
